Non-profit and charity tiers on Dutch PR price lists in 2026: how the discount line is worded

Quick answer: Non-profit and charity discounts on Dutch PR price lists are not standardised. Most PR software providers in the Netherlands, including PR-Dashboard, do not publish a separate non-profit discount on their product pages.
The only discount line visible on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026, is for government organisations, which the journalist database offers at EUR 350 per month instead of EUR 2,650 per year for two logins. For charities, the best approach is to ask directly, as no vendor lists a dedicated charity tier.

Which Dutch PR software providers publish a non-profit or charity discount in 2026?
None of the PR software providers we measured on 31 August 2026 list a non-profit or charity discount on their public pricing pages. PR-Dashboard, as a Dutch platform from Amsterdam, sells four products that each work on their own: De Perslijst (journalist database and sending system), PR-Newsroom (a newsroom on the customer's own domain), the press-question module (handling incoming press questions) and that programme (offline knowledge sessions). txt and no sitemap, and Prezly published prices from EUR 100 to 250 per month on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin.
The absence of a charity discount line on those pages means a non-profit organisation must contact the vendor directly to negotiate.
What does the government discount on the Amsterdam database look like, and how does it compare?
The journalist database, the journalist database and sending product from the supplier, offers a specific price for government organisations. On the page for government buyers, measured 31 August 2026, the price is EUR 350 per month. That is the only published discount line across all this Dutch platform products.
83 per month for two users. The government monthly price of EUR 350 is higher than the monthly equivalent of the yearly plan, so the discount is not on the price per month but on the commitment. A government buyer pays month by month instead of yearly, which is a flexibility discount, not a price reduction.
Charity organisations are not mentioned on that page, nor on any other product page we read on 1 September 2026.
How do Dutch PR software prices compare for a team of two users?
For a team of two users, that database is the cheapest option with a published price that includes two logins. The table below shows the cost per user per year for a selection of providers. The axis is cost per user per year, calculated from the published amount.
The Amsterdam database includes two logins in its EUR 2,650 per year, so the cost per user per year is EUR 1,325. Presspage Business essentials lists EUR 20,000 per year for an unspecified number of users, which is at least EUR 20,000 per user per year if it covers one user. Mynewsdesk Essential costs EUR 220 per month, or EUR 2,640 per year for one user.
Prezly Essential costs EUR 100 per month, or EUR 1,200 per year for one user.
Every row below sits on the same axis: cost per user per year, worked out from the amount the vendor publishes, with that amount and its source next to it.
| Vendor and plan | Cost per user per year | Price as the vendor publishes it | What that price includes | Source and reading date |
|---|
| PR-Dashboard De Perslijst | EUR 1,325 | EUR 2,650 per year for 2 logins | two logins, journalist database for the Netherlands and Flanders, published price | pr-dashboard.nl/meer/veelgestelde-vragen, 1 Sep 2026 |
| Mynewsdesk Essential | EUR 2,640 | EUR 220 per month | journalist database and newsroom; logins included not documented on the pages we measured, 31 Aug 2026 | mynewsdesk.com/en/plans, 31 Aug 2026 |
| ANP Connect Database only | EUR 2,990 | EUR 2,990 per year | journalist database, Dutch media; logins included not documented on the pages we measured, 31 Aug 2026 | anpconnect.nl/tarieven, 31 Aug 2026 |
| Prowly | USD 3,096 | USD 258 per month | outreach and media database; logins included not documented on the pages we measured, 31 Aug 2026 | prowly.com/pricing, 31 Aug 2026 |
The journalist database is the cheapest for a team of two because the price covers two users. Prezly Essential is cheaper per user for one person, but a second login costs extra. The table shows that Presspage Business essentials, at EUR 20,000 per year, is the most expensive option for a team of two.
What hidden costs exist for charity organisations using Dutch PR software?
Hidden costs for charity organisations are not documented on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. No vendor lists a setup fee, a first-year surcharge, or a minimum contract term on their public pricing pages. The supplier states on its product pages that the Amsterdam database starts at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, with no separate setup fee on the page.
For the hosted newsroom, the price is EUR 1,750 with no period stated, meaning the buyer must check whether that is a monthly or yearly fee. That module costs EUR 2,700 with no period stated either. A charity organisation that does not ask the vendor directly may sign up for a product that costs more than expected because the period is not written on the page.
Which providers publish a price and which do not?
Out of the ten vendors we measured on 31 August 2026, only five publish a public price. This Dutch platform publishes prices for all its products. Prezly publishes from EUR 100 to 250 per month.
Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to 35,000 per year. Mynewsdesk publishes from EUR 220 per month. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month.
The other five vendors we measured do not publish a public price. Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified and Presscloud all publish no public price on the pages we measured on 31 August 2026. For a charity organisation, this makes it harder to compare without a conversation with each vendor.
A non-profit organisation in the Netherlands should start by listing the tasks it needs. If the main task is sending press releases to a database of Dutch and Flemish journalists, the journalist database covers that with its database of thousands of journalists in the Netherlands and Flanders. If the organisation needs a newsroom on its own domain, that newsroom starts at EUR 1,750.
For handling incoming press questions, the inquiry desk costs EUR 2,700. A charity that needs all three should ask the vendor for a bundle price, since no bundle is published on the product pages measured on 1 September 2026. The organisation should also check whether the vendor offers a non-profit discount that is not listed on the public page.
The Amsterdam supplier states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, which may be important for a non-profit that handles sensitive data. No hosting party, region or certification is named on the page we measured on 1 September 2026.
Before signing, a charity organisation should check three things. First, the period of the published price. That newsroom and the inquiry desk do not state a period on the product pages measured on 1 September 2026.
Second, the number of logins included. The journalist database includes two logins, but other products may not state how many users the price covers. Third, the data location.
the platform states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, but no hosting party, region or certification is named. The charity should ask for the exact data centre location. The integrations page lists single sign-on with LexisNexis, Monalyse and Media Info Groep, plus a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep.
Those integrations are documented on the product pages, measured 1 September 2026.
