Do Dutch PR vendors charge extra to import your existing press list?

When you switch to a new PR platform, you often want to bring your own list of journalist contacts. For PR-Dashboard, importing an existing press list into its De Perslijst product is included in the subscription. The product pages list a single price for De Perslijst: EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, and they do not mention a separate setup or import fee. nl/producten, read 1 September 2026, shows one price with no add-on for data migration.

Other vendors handle this differently. com/en/plans, measured 31 August 2026, but does not document a list import charge on those pages. Prezly's pricing page, also measured 31 August 2026, lists EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month but does not show a separate fee for importing contacts. The absence of a documented fee for any of these vendors means the buyer should ask directly about the process.

What does a standard press list migration include at the Amsterdam supplier?

That database by this Dutch platform is a journalist database and sending system. The product page states that it covers thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders. The price of EUR 2,650 per year for two logins includes the ability to upload your own list of contacts, as the product pages do not mention any extra charge for data migration. nl/producten, read 1 September 2026, lists the product features without a setup fee.

For comparison, the Amsterdam supplier also sells that newsroom at EUR 1,750 and the inquiry desk at EUR 2,700, both with no period stated on the source pages. These products are separate subscriptions. The import of a press list would apply only to the journalist database, as that is the database and sending system. The other products do not require a journalist list to function.

Which other Dutch PR vendors publish a price for list import or setup?

Among the competitors measured on 31 August 2026, none list a specific price for importing an existing press list. com/plans but does not break out setup costs. Mynewsdesk, Prowly, and Prezly also do not document a separate import fee on their pricing pages. The lack of a published price does not mean the service is free or costly; it means the information is not on the pages we measured.

For vendors like Meltwater and Cision, which are in the list of competitors but not in the measured price data, no public price for list import is available either. The only vendor that clearly includes the import in the subscription is the supplier, based on its product pages showing one price with no add-on. Buyers should always ask for a written confirmation of what the subscription covers during onboarding.

Third, verify the geographic coverage of the database. the platform covers the Netherlands and Flanders, not all of Belgium. Mynewsdesk and Prezly do not state a specific focus on Dutch or Flemish media on their pages.

Fourth, look at the hosting and data location. the platform states that all development and hosting take place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, but no hosting party or certification is named. Presspage names Germany as its data location, which may be relevant for compliance.

How does a monthly subscription compare to paying per press release for list access?

Some vendors offer a pay-per-release model that includes access to their journalist database. For example, ANP Connect charges EUR 499 per release for vak- en regionale media, EUR 795 for landelijke media via ANP-net, and EUR 999 for both. Those prices include distribution, not just list access.

For a small team sending two or three press releases per year, the per-release model might be cheaper. But the subscription gives you the full database, the ability to build lists, and the import of your own contacts. The pay-per-release options do not always include the import of your own list.
